The 38th Armored Divison Clone Trooper

The 38th Armored Division was a unit of clone troopers in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. The Combat Engineer Battalion was a subdivision of this unit.

The armor of this division was painted with dull mustard markings.

The 38th Armored Division included many heavy artillery units such as HAVw A6 Juggernauts and Self-Propelled Heavy Artillery walkers. The division was also equipped with Nu-class attack shuttles. In addition to regular troopers, the unit had a heavily armored trooper variant.

It participated in numerous battles of the war, including the Battle of Kashyyyk, where it was led into combat by Jedi Grand Master Yoda.

The 41st Elite Legion Clone Trooper

The 41st Elite Legion was a specialized division of elite clone troopers in the Grand Army of the Republic, composed of many variants of clone troopers (including AT-RT drivers and BARC troopers). Their legion color was gray. Two units within the 41st were Sarlacc Battalion A and Sarlacc Battalion B.

Members of the 41st Elite on Coruscant.Led by Senior Clone Commander Gree, the 41st was stationed on a number of exotic worlds with indigenous species during the Clone Wars. The 41st was a legion out of the 9th Assault Corps, under command of Senior Jedi General Luminara Unduli and Commander Gree. They specialized in missions on planets with difficult climates, and were well suited for them. They forged alliances with the indigenous species of the planet they were on, and seeing so many alien species, Gree became an expert on species and customs.

They maintained a large armory with gray-marked Phase II and camouflaged scout armor. They used AT-RTs and Juggernauts to great effect, for recon and battles such as the Battle of Kashyyyk.

Members of the 41st Elite with Luminara Unduli.A year into the war, Gree and the 41st participated in the Battle of Dinlo, where they became pinned down by a large number of droid forces. Jedi Commander Tur-Mukan led a mission to evacuate the legion from Dinlo. The 41st were then granted shore leave on Coruscant, partly as cover for Kal Skirata's black ops missions, and partly as a morale booster.

Two years later, the 41st saw heavy action in the Battle of Kashyyyk against the droid invasion force sent to seize the world. There, the clone troopers of the 41st fought alongside Wookiee warriors and a small clique of Jedi to a near standstill against the Confederacy.

A clone scout trooper with the 41st Elite on Kashyyyk. While most of their men were transferred to Kashyyyk, a detachment of the 41st was sent to assist in the Battle of Utapau, perhaps to smoothen relationships with the native Pau'ans.

41st troops open fire on CIS forces during the Battle of Kashyyyk. However, when Palpatine initiated Order 66, Commander Gree and his soldiers promptly turned on the Jedi, killing Luminara Unduli. Master Yoda, however, killed Gree and managed to escape with the help of Chewbacca and Tarfful. On Utapau, the 41st assisted in interning several Pau'ans for reasons unknown.

It is likely that following the execution of the Order 66, the 41st completed its operations against the remaining droid forces, and then pulled out of Kashyyyk.

The 91st Reconnaissance Corps Recon Trooper

The 91st Reconnaissance Corps was a corps of recon troopers in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Comprising divisions of clone troopers and BARC troopers, the 91st Reconnaissance Corps was led by Clone Marshal Commander Neyo. Aside from BARC speeders, the corps utilized AT-AP walkers, and AT-RT walkers.

The identifying marks of the 91st were small red circles with a white sword pointing upside down running across them. To protect their commander, 91st's lieutenants wore, like Neyo, a specialized helmet very similar to those of clone assassins that gave them a more sinister look.

Commander Neyo's troops were part of the multi-division task force led by High Jedi General Oppo Rancisis on Saleucami during the Outer Rim Sieges. Elements of the 91st Reconnaissance Corps fought in the ensuing battle, and remained planetside in the aftermath to scout out remaining pockets of Separatist or Morgukai resistance.

Commander Neyo and his Recon Corps were led by Jedi Master Stass Allie during their patrols of the Saleucami plains. After receiving Order 66 from Emperor Palpatine, Neyo and his men turned on their Jedi General. Neyo and his wingman, CT-3423, opened fire on Allie's speeder bike, killing her in the resulting explosion.

The 182nd Legion Clone Trooper

The 182nd Legion was a division of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.

The clone troopers of the 182nd Legion were sent to the battlefront of Felucia in the final months of the war, though Republic High Command lost contact with its forces. A month later, the elite 501st Legion was deployed on Felucia to discover that the 182nd had been almost if not completely annihilated by the droid forces using difficult terrain to their advantage as well as the flesh eating viruses and nightmarish creatures of Felucia.

The 187th Legion Clone Trooper

The 187th Legion was a legion of clone troopers that served under the command of Jedi Master and High General Mace Windu. They were distinguished by the purple markings on their armor, reflecting the color of Windu's lightsaber.

187th Legion was said to have been present during the Battle of Dantooine, as well as the Battle of Coruscant. Other than Mace Windu, they followed a clone commander that had armor similar to that of a clone paratrooper.

The 212th Attack Battalion Clone Trooper

The 212th Attack Battalion was a unit of clone troopers under the leadership of Clone Marshal Commander Cody. Troops of the 212th Attack Battalion were distinguished by the orange markings on their armor. The 212th Battalion sometimes worked in conjunction with a second battalion. It was attached to the Third Army.

A clone trooper of the 212th Attack Battalion in standard armor.Though commanded by Commander Cody, the 212th Attack Battalion was also led by High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi, who developed a friendship with the battalion commander during the Clone Wars. On Cato Neimoidia, General Kenobi, Commander Cody, and the elite Squad Seven breached Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray's fortress and secured vital data that began the hunt for Darth Sidious.

When General Kenobi was tasked with tracking down and eliminating the Separatist Supreme Commander, General Grievous, he took two battalions with him to the Utapau system—one of which was Cody's unit. Cody's commandos stormed Grievous's stronghold on the tenth level of Pau City, and kept his droid forces at bay while Kenobi faced the General himself in single combat. The clones would take heavy casualties in the battle, mainly due to the superior numbers of droids, but would eventually gain the advantage.

Although Obi-Wan defeated Grievous, matters took a turn for the worse when Darth Sidious transmitted Order 66 to Cody. An AT-TE walker opened fire on the general, sending him to his apparent death hundreds of feet below. The clones went on to destroy the remaining battle droid forces on Utapau, and, as per the new Emperor's orders, subjugated the planet.

The 327th Star Corps Elite Clone Trooper

The 327th Star Corps was an elite corps of clone troopers during the Clone Wars. They were one of the most active units in the Grand Army of the Republic, and fell under the 2nd Sector Army and Systems Army Alpha.

Lieutenant Galle of the 327th Star Corps, wearing a kama and a pauldron. The troops of the 327th Star Corps were distinguished by striped yellow markings running the length of their armor and, as a result of Clone Marshal Commander Bly's ARC training, his troopers were allowed to don kamas and command pauldrons.

One unit within the 327th was K Company.

The 327th Star Corps was deployed for the first time at the Battle of Geonosis and remained active all the way to the last days of the Clone Wars. Jedi General Aayla Secura was assigned to the Corps after her mission to Hypori, which took place four months into the war.

Under the control of Aayla Secura and Clone Commander Bly, the 327th served as the Republic's spearhead into the Outer Rim Territories in the latter days of the Clone Wars. Their name was derived from the actions they engaged in on the Outer Rim, never seeing Coruscant and rarely stationed in one place for more than a week. The troopers of the 327th saw action on such diverse worlds as New Holstice, Anzat, Dromund Kaas, and Honoghr.

The corps was deployed in full force during the Republic's five-month siege of Saleucami, which pitted the Jedi and their clone troopers against a massive Morgukai clone army. After the CIS forces were crushed, the 327th were deployed to the Commerce Guild purse world Felucia in an attempt to capture Presidente Shu Mai. Arriving aboard the Venator-class Star Destroyer Intrepid, the initial days of the assault saw a string of success for Bly and his troops, despite the fact that Shu Mai managed to elude capture.

As the 327th pushed through the planet's southern hemisphere, with some help from the elite 501st Legion, Bly received Order 66 via a top-secret channel. Order 66 branded Aayla Secura and the rest of the Jedi in command of the corps as enemies of the Republic. When Aayla was distracted by a low-flying bird, Bly and his lieutenants poured blaster fire into their Jedi General.

Presumably, the 327th went on to capture Felucia. It continued to faithfully serve the Galactic Empire after its creation.

The 442nd Siege Battalion Clone Trooper

The 442nd Siege Battalion was a unit of clone troopers within the Grand Army of the Republic.

As their name implied, the 442nd were skilled in besieging enemy fortifications. They were equipped with AT-RT walkers and ISP speeders with green markings.

During the Clone Wars, they were sent to aid in the capture of Cato Neimoidia, a key Trade Federation stronghold.

The 501st Legion Clone Troopers

The 501st Legion, also known as "Vader's Fist" and the Five Hundred and First during the Galactic Civil War, was originally a legion of elite clone troopers commissioned by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine during the Clone Wars. The 501st was trained and based on Coruscant and deployed in smaller units as required.

The 501st fought in some of the most notable battles of the Clone Wars, such as the Battle of Mygeeto and the Battle of Coruscant, becoming one of the most well-known and most feared legions. They later became Darth Vader's personal stormtrooper unit after he led them during Operation: Knightfall, in which the clones helped take down the Jedi, whom they believed to be traitors to the Republic.

Following the rise of the Empire, the 501st's troopers were converted to stormtroopers, with new armor and weapons. The 501st fought in many battles in an attempt to defeat the Rebel Alliance, although the Alliance ultimately triumphed. During the Galactic Civil War, the 501st was the last remnant of the Grand Army of the Republic fully composed of clones of Jango Fett, as opposed to the ever-growing and more diverse Stormtrooper Corps where the Fett clones became a minority with the inclusion of a pool of clones from different templates and birth-born recruits. Eventually, with the relaxing of Imperial Non-huMan policies, more diverse recruits would be added to the 501st, including even non-Humans.

A member of the 501st constructed a journal of his thoughts during some of the most well-known battles in which he fought.

The Galatic Marine Clone Commander

The Galactic Marines, originally known as the 21st Nova Corps of the 4th Sector Army, was an elite unit that was created as the Grand Army of the Republic diversified during the Clone Wars.

Galactic Marines and the clone cold assault troopers, the predecessors of the Imperial snowtroopers, wore similar body armor; the differences being omitted/retooled details on the Galactic Marine armor—particularly the maroon coloration—and the addition of a backplate. The Marines were distinguished by their unique, uncommon green visor gear: synthmesh designed to keep out various hazards such as snow, sand, airborne fungus, and ash. The Marines were known to utilize UT-AT, AT-OT and AT-RT walkers with purple markings.

The Marines were cross-trained to fight on a variety of environments in ground and space, making them extremely versatile. This unit was commanded by High Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi and Clone Marshal Commander Bacara, and were deployed to many planets such as Rhen Var, Aargonar, Boz Pity, and Mygeeto. Bacara demanded the best of his men, and would tolerate nothing less, unilaterally reassigning soldiers who did not meet his high standards.

The Homeworld Security Command Clone Trooper

Homeworld Security Command was founded towards the end of the Clone Wars, as a measure designed to protect the denizens of the Galactic Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. In reality, the Homeworld Security Command only increased the power of the government, and promoted the continuation of the conflict that was pulling the Republic apart.

Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's Homeworld Security Command comprised a large number of Senate committees and advisory councils. Organizations such as COMPOR (the Commission for the Protection of the Republic)—predecessor to COMPNOR—welcomed the new security measures, and even more stoic groups such as the Loyalist Committee were not immune to its effects. The average Coruscanti acclimated to the new measures quickly and easily; it was left to the few loyal members of the Senate to voice concerns about Palpatine's increasing power.

The new measures granted by Homeworld Security began with the Military Creation Act three years before the end of the Clone Wars, when the Chancellor was granted Emergency Powers to mobilize an Army of the Republic against the Confederacy. Since then, the government extended its reach, with new security measures ensuring safety from Count Dooku's forces, while simultaneously stifling any opposition from within the Republic.

Homeworld Security was allegedly justified through guerrilla and terrorist attacks carried out by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The security measures involved the mobilization of emergency forces on Coruscant - such as the elite Clone shock troopers responsible for identity scanning and security checkpoints throughout Galactic City—and the installation of surveillance holocams in the Senate Rotunda. Most drastic was the extension of Palpatine's executive power, and the many amendments made to the Galactic Constitution, ostensibly to more effectively combat the Separatists.

While some citizens, such as Bail Organa, were frightened by Palpatine's increasing power and specifically Homeworld Security (somewhat of an extension of his office), most had no problems with it and seemed not to notice their decreasing freedoms.

In the end, Homeworld Security served as another stepping stone for Palpatine to achieve total galactic dominance. With shock troopers already compiling a list of possible traitorous Senators, and the citizens of Coruscant under watch by his officers, Palpatine declared the formation of a Galactic Empire. Dictatorship replaced democracy, and the measures introduced through Homeworld Security escalated until the galaxy was ruled by the iron fist of the Empire.

The Lancer Battalion Lancer Trooper

The Lancer Battalions were divisions of the Grand Army of the Republic made up of lancer troopers. These Lancer Battalions were used occasionally against the Separatist's IG lancer combat droids and were particularly remembered for their part in the Battle of Muunilinst, which took place four months into the Clone Wars.

Using Aratech 105-K lancer bikes, these specialized speeder-mounted clone troopers engaged their enemy in physical combat, ramming the lancer droids with their Verpine power-lances. The Lancer Battalions were usually deployed in order to distract the enemy from advancing turbolaser batteries, which were used to batter down fortified targets.

The Muunilinst 10 Advanced Recon Commando and Clone Trooper

The Muunilinst 10 was a group of Advanced Recon Commandos and standard clone troopers led by ARC Captain Fordo that consisted of four ARC lieutenants, and six infantry clones, though one was killed.

The Muunilinst 10 were deployed to destroy a Separatist artillery cannon and aid in the capture of key InterGalactic Banking Clan officials. While flying in a modified LAAT/i gunship to their target area, the gunship was shot down by a B1 battle droid with a rocket launcher, and it crash-landed in the city. When they exited the gunship, they were surrounded by sniper-fire. One clone, CT-43/002, was killed instantly in the barrage.

Fordo and the remaining members of the Muunilinst 10 awaiting Jedi General Kenobi.Fordo ordered two clones to distract the droid snipers and another clone to scope the location for the snipers. After spotting the droids' locations, an ARC trooper wielding a PLX-1 destroyed the building ledges where the snipers had been.

The group kept going toward their objective, and eventually encountered an AAT. While one ARC trooper crept up on the AAT from above, the nine provided cover fire. The ARC jumped on top of the AAT, fired his way inside, and then blew it up from within.

Eventually, they arrived at the artillery cannon and after destroying many battle droids, blew up the cannon and rappelled up the control tower.

After the arrival of Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi, they blasted their way inside the command center, defeating numerous droids and aiding in the defeat of the feared bounty hunter Durge before securing the room, despite some of them suffering injuries inflicted by Durge. This action was the key point in the Republic's capture of the planet.

The Sky Corps Clone Jet Trooper

The Sky Corps was the military group of clone jet troopers established during the Clone Wars to serve in the Grand Army of the Republic. These specially-trained troops wore jetpacks for aerial operations and carried compact DC-15 blasters. They served on several planets including Utapau, Bespin, and Coruscant.

The Squad Seven Specialist Clone Trooper

Squad Seven was a small group of specialists created by Advanced Recon Commando Alpha-17. It was also led by Clone Commander Cody often, although the squad was managed by Major Jorir.
The squad contained the best cross-trained clone commanders, pilots, marines, SCUBA troopers, demolition specialists, and snipers. The squad accompanied Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker on several occasions.

During the First Battle of Cato Neimoidia, the commandos of Squad Seven assisted Jedi General Kenobi in his assault on Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray's redoubt. With their help, Kenobi was able to procure Gunray's valuable mechno-chair, which contained a holographic message from Darth Sidious to the Trade Federation Viceroy.

The most notable action of Squad Seven during the clone wars is its accompaniment of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker when they attempted to rescue Palpatine. Squad Seven destroyed many vulture droids and droid tri-fighters, which saved the pair of Jedi's lives. Squad Seven showed daring courage during the Battle of Coruscant.
